How to Saddle up Correctly

For the well-being of rider and horse the correct saddle position is absolutely essential. When using the Butterfly^® for the first time it is recommended not to use any kind of saddle pad to make sure you can feel the correct position with your hands.

1. Place the Butterfly^® slightly forward on the horse's withers.

2. Slide the saddle backward until it stops at the resting place. The Butterfly^® keeps the withers free.

3. Feel for the shoulder blade beneath the withers and feel for the movable saddle bars of the Butterfly^®. Place the saddle bars well behind the shoulder blades and girth the saddle. Tightening of girth follows as usual.
